Into the Ocean: Journey Beneath is an immersive, world-permiere exhibition at the Art Science Museum in Singapore. Developed in collaboration with OceanX, it takes you through five interactive zones—from sunlit coral reefs to the pitch-black abyss. The exhibit combines cutting-edge marine research, interactive audiovisual installations, and never-before-seen deep-sea footage.
Exhibition Highlights
- The Submersible Descent: You step into a simulated submarine and begin a multi-sensory dive from the surface down through the ocean layers.
- Three Oceanic Zones: Experience the sunlit Photic Zone (bursting with corals and vibrant marine life), the dim Twilight Zone (where sperm whales roam), and the completely dark Aphotic/Abyssal Zone (where bioluminescent creatures glow to communicate).
- Conservation & Restoration: Discover how marine environments sustain the planet and interact with real-world conservation efforts, such as the Coral Sonic Resilience exhibit, which plays recordings of healthy reefs to restore degraded ones
